Transport
BUS – Aviemore is on the main Scottish Citylink bus route between Perth and Inverness.
TRAIN – Aviemore Railway Station is located right in the middle of town just a walk across the road from the Aviemore Highland Resort. Trains are frequent between Inverness and Perth.
PLANE – The nearest airport is Inverness Dalcross, which is serviced by BMI, Easyjet and British Airways.
CAR – Aviemore is on the main route between the Highlands and the Central Belt on the busy A9 road. Car hire is available from Focus Vehicle Rental and Thrifty in the City of Inverness.

Big Screen
The World Cup Quarter Finals are played on Friday 31st June and Saturday 1st July.
We’ll have a mobile big screen, which will be available at the major events! Watch the action of the World Cup all the way…. And look out for themed days depending on which countries are playing in the World Cup Quarter Finals.

Golf
The brand new Aviemore Championship Golf Course opens in early May. The Tartan Army are the first group booking for the event with a tournament on Friday 30 June. Want to play against fellow footsoldiers.

Evening Entertainment
Entertainment, Dj’s, bands, music, craic! It will all be on Thursday to Sunday nights in a variety of venues and pubs in Aviemore! With the main entertainment event in the Cairngorm Hotel carpark.

Football Tournament
The Tartan Army Gathering is delighted to feature this years Scottish Supporters Club Fair Play Cup. This seven a side tournament will be run on Saturday 1 July and is run by the Association of Tartan Army Clubs (ATAC). ATAC are currently finalising details for the tournament and member clubs of ATAC will be able to enter teams.

March
At 12pm on Sunday 2nd July there will be a tartan army march from the Cairngorm Hotel carpark through the town centre and the mile and a half walk to the football pitch. This will see Tartan Army clubs from across the country and beyond marching in full Highland regila and carrying their flags and banners led by a pipe band! A showpiece event along the St Andrews cross-lined route!

Highland Games
A final carnival day, a real family event on Sunday 2 July at the Aviemore Football Pitch. Stalls, fun races, throwing the haggis, running with your pint. It will all take place in a final day of fun and excitement. Tartan army clubs are invited to contact us regarding craft/merchandise stalls for the games day at

Get Steaming!
Travel back in time to the bygone years on a 1950’s steam locomotive from Aviemore to Broomhill (the station that was named Glenbogle) in the ever popular Monarch of the Glen programme, where we are hosting a real Highland Ceilidh on the station platform. Local Scottish musicians will be performing. A traditional bowl of Stovies will be served and a Fully licensed bar will be in operation on the journey to and from the station and at the Ceilidh itself. This is a trip not to be missed! Tickets are limited (150). Reserve your tickets at £5 per person by calling Cairngorm Hotel on 01479 810233. The event runs from 6.30pm to 9.30pm.

Closing Night Hooley
Get to the Osprey Arena at the Resort for a final night of Scottish music. A last chance to let the hair down and let the weekend finish with a bang! Scottish band The Peatbog Faeries are the top billing on the Sunday night. For further details on the band please go to www.peatbogfaeries.com.
